JourneyReel ("the App") is a travel journal and route video creator. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
The short version: We collect nothing. All your data stays on your device.
JourneyReel does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The App operates entirely offline on your device.
The following data is created and stored locally on your device only:
The App may request access to your photo library to import travel photos. Photos are accessed locally only and are never uploaded to any server. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
GPS tracking is optional and disabled by default. When enabled, location data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted externally. You control GPS tracking mode in Settings.
Pro upgrade purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not process payments directly. We store only a local flag indicating your purchase status. For payment-related privacy, refer to Apple's or Google's privacy policies.
The App displays maps using OpenStreetMap tiles. When you view the map with an internet connection, your device downloads map images from OpenStreetMap tile servers. This is a standard web request and is subject to OpenStreetMap's privacy policy. Downloaded tiles are cached locally for offline use.
JourneyReel does not use any analytics services, crash reporting tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. We do not track your usage in any way.
The App does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. There are no social logins, cloud sync, or external APIs.
We do not share any data with third parties because we do not have access to your data. Your information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the App's export feature.
You can export your trip data at any time via Settings > Export & Backup. Exported data is saved to your device or shared via your device's share sheet. Where the exported data goes is entirely under your control.
Your data persists on your device until you delete it. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. There is no cloud backup unless you create one yourself using the export feature.
JourneyReel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since all data is local and we collect nothing, there is no risk of children's data being exposed.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and in the App's settings.
